How does GLP-1 Probiotic compare to other Pendulum products, and which one is right for me? 
GLP-1 Probiotic is formulated with 3 precise strains (Clostridium butyricum, Akkermansia muciniphila, and Bifidobacterium infantis) that specifically target mechanisms needed to upregulate the GLP-1 pathway.

While there is some ingredient overlap in our products, the unique combinations and precise quantities of strains in each probiotic have been specifically formulated to address specific needs.

For example, GLP-1 Probiotic and Akkermansia have the same amount of Akkermansia muciniphila. However, GLP-1 Probiotic is also formulated with Clostridium butyricum and Bifidobacterium infantis which contribute to the production of butyrate. Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila have both been shown to stimulate L-cells to release GLP-1.

Is GLP-1 Probiotic safe?
GLP-1 Probiotic is composed of commensal strains naturally found in the human gut.  These strains have undergone extensive safety studies and found to be safe. 

Can or should I take GLP-1 Probiotic if I’m pregnant?
GLP-1 Probiotic contains commensal bacterial strains that exist within the gut microbiome of healthy people, including during pregnancy. To date, GLP-1 Probiotic has not been studied in women who are either pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Please consult with your healthcare provider to see if this product may be a good fit for you.

Are there any side effects of taking GLP-1 Probiotic?
When starting any new probiotic such as GLP-1 Probiotic, there can be an adjustment period. You may experience some gastrointestinal symptoms (increased gas, bloating, nausea, or loose stools) that usually resolve over the initial 14 days or with discontinuation of the product. If you experience symptoms that are severe or do not resolve, please consult your healthcare provider.

How long should GLP-1 Probiotic be taken? 
GLP-1 Probiotic is a daily supplement and can be taken for as long as you experience benefits.

Should someone lower their dose after taking for 60, 90, 180 days?

You can travel with GLP-1 Probiotic. Just toss your bottle in your bag and once you reach your destination, put it in the fridge if possible since we recommend refrigeration for optimal quality.
